Airsofting

Here are some good airsofting locations:

The Ravine

Slightly west of the intersection of Tierra Rejada Rd. And Brookhurst Ct., on the south side of Tierra Rejada Rd., you will find a gated off entrance into a part of unoccupied land. You will have to squeeze around the gate, which is meant to keep vehicles out. Individuals should have no problem getting by though. There will be a clear trail. Follow it straight up, making no turns until the path itself does a hairpin turn. This should be about a half kilometer in. On your right side you should be looking down into a ravine. There used to be a metal cable that enabled you to scale down, but now you will have to find an alternate way in. There definitely is an alternate way in. There is a gently sloping trail leading in which starts 20 or 30 meters before where the obvious entrance is.

At the very bottom of The Ravine has two obvious \“bases\” for two teams with plywood boards meant as fortifications. Who put them there originally? No one knows. There are many trails that lead up and around the lower area. Games will often center around fighting for control of the high ground. Usually teams will send teammates running up the hill at the first \“Go\”. It is also possible to occupy and control the other side of the hill, however. That side is a bit more rocky and difficult to navigate, but many games have been decided by that factor.

The Dice

From the 118, exit Collins and turn South. Turn East on E Los Angeles Ave. Be on a watchout on the South side of the road for cement cubes with dots painted on them, so that they look like dice. You should find them 2 kilometers East of the intersection or so, just past the mobile home park.

By the dice, there ought to be enough space to park your car. Head in and explore. Be on the watchout for other paintballers or airsofters as your walking in. Eye protection may be a good idea if you walk into a group of people already playing on the field. The field is bounded by the road to the north and a stream of water to the south.
